I did physical therapy yesterday for 2 1/2 hours.  I was sore after I came home, but this morning was great.  I can still feel that strange hard lump in my hip and it feels so weird, but it no longer hurts.  Best of all I can sit down, even for long periods of time, without pain.  That went on for so long --like a year-- I actually thought it was arthritis in my hips.  Who knew it was where my hamstrings connect to my  pelvis.  I felt pretty good today, so I ran 3 easy miles.  The posture I'm practicing is so different than the way I normally run.  It's challenging NEW places in my legs and back. But I'll do whatever it takes to end the wrong kind of pounding to my lower back and hips. I made an appointment to run the canyon with Catherine on Saturday.  She's busy trying to build her mileage up to 60 miles a week and I'm struggling to not break a hip (or whatever).  I can always hope for good weather....Haven't these days been golden delicious? I wish it could just go on forever. This is absolutely my favorite time of year....maybe because it's my birthday time of year....

Happy Birthday Luz- whenever it may be :) I am so glad the hip is doing better! Yeah!!!

It sounds like you have plans, but a group of us are getting together for a Halloween run on Saturday. Here is the info:

Sounds like the 10 mile run for Saturday is on. 7am in Lehi by Thanksgiving Point. We will be running on the Jordan River Parkway. Thanks to Smooth, we have these great directions. Take Lehi exit 282 which takes you to State St (SR 89). On State St. go south to 1500 N (Chevron Gas Station). Drive west on 1500 N. till it dead ends to the River Parkway. If you're going north on I-15, exit 282 is also the 1200 West exit. It's the one after Main St. and before the Thanksgiving Point exit. At the Parkway access area, you can pull your car off to the left. There's a small parking area and we can meet there. Kelli said she is brining muffins and I will bring hot chocolate.

I would give anything to be able to run 10 miles right now.....but I'm working back up to 3 and 4 at a time without going backwards on the healing progress. I just keep on missng the parties don't I? I never get a break, except in my hip :( JK

I figured as much and DONT want any backwards-ness in the healing process!! I'll have to come over on a friday morning and run with you some time. My husband is home on Fridays and I have a bit more freedom with my time :D Hang in there and be kind to yourself!
