The morning is, in my opinion, the first day of summer.  The morning was perectly clear, cool, but balmy.  It reminded me of the day I brought my son home from the hospital 12 years ago.  It was a cloudless, perfect morning--like today.  The view of the valley and of the lake from the bench was breathtaking.  I live for mornings like this.  I miss my trail, but the view today of the valley did me a solid.

P.S. Are you going to run UVM?

From RAD on Thu, Jun 02, 2011 at 15:43:16 from 98.202.17.113

AMEN! I marked Tuesday on the calendar as the first day I could leave the windows open and the temp inside stayed higher than what the thermostat was set for. I did wear capris this morning, but a short sleeved shirt felt just perfect - finally, finally, finally!!!

Yes...are you and Cath still doing UVM?

From LuzyLew on Thu, Jun 02, 2011 at 16:20:10 from 208.187.197.42

Hi guys! Yes, Cath and I are still doing UVM. The busses this year are at the Marriott Hotel instead of the Provo Town Centre. We should meet up.

From RAD on Thu, Jun 02, 2011 at 16:55:46 from 98.202.17.113

I saw Cath commented about a SF, I got worried. YES! Let's meet up. I don't want to leave home until 3AM though...which puts me there at 3:45ish :)

From LuzyLew on Thu, Jun 02, 2011 at 18:12:47 from 208.187.197.42

3:45 sounds so, harsh. REally? Is that when the busses are leaving? ...as for Cath, yes, she has the same SF that she was booted for in March. Problem is, she didn't stay booted during her move and then probably started running too soon. She's going to have to be booted again for 6 weeks. So she's off the foot until the marathon and then back in the boot for a looooong time.

yes...3:30-4:15 is bus leaving time. BLECH! I am getting anxiety just thinking about how early I have to get up :(

I hope things go okay for Cath on the run, I love that she is willing to beat herself into the ground to finish and then hit the boot afterward :) Sounds like someone I know...a friend...of a friend... :)

Smooth - RAd if either of you think spending the night at my house would be helpful and save a bit of time (not like anyone sleeps the night before a marathon anyway) but I have 2 guest rooms....come on down.

From RAD on Sat, Jun 04, 2011 at 15:18:59 from 98.202.17.113

Oh I would LOVE to! However, since I am the milkman for baby right now I have to feed him before I go in the morning - to make both of us more comfortable :)

From LuzyLew on Sat, Jun 04, 2011 at 17:28:09 from 71.195.221.218

oh yes, I have forgotten about baby Fartlek. I remember the days of nursing. I preferred the term 'milk maid', or 'cow', or parasite host. I was hungrier and gained more weight while nursing than while pregnant, and I was continuously exhausted. I could not run and nurse at the same time. Man, how do you guys do it?

From Smooth on Sat, Jun 04, 2011 at 21:44:38 from 67.2.107.37

oooooh! that sounds so tempting! Your house is gorgeous! It'd be like going to a resort! I'm afraid I would not want to get up to run a marathon after spending the night there! :) :) :)

Plus, Baby fartlek's milkman is also Smooth's chauffeur! so I will have to take a raincheck! But THANKS for the offer, sweet Luz!! :)

We still meet up at the Marriot to ride the dreaded bus up together, right?!!!
