Here's something you don't see everyday, much less a Sunday afternoon.  The snowy trail is silent, you've seen no one for 2 miles, when suddently from around the bend comes a 14-15 year old kid on a unicycle.  He was solemn and determined and passed me both coming and going.   I wondered if he was running away to the circus.

Awesome! Great run! Do your legs adjust quickly to the snowy terrain? Mine are a bit upset with the change :)

I run so slowly when it's icy that it hardly ualifies as running. I do adjust pretty quickly, and I feel pretty good on my feet out there. But my last two running partners were much more tentative than I about running on the ice.

I am pretty sure on my feet, I just notice that different parts are getting sore and achy. My calves really don't like it much :D

I've written before that running in the cold reminds me of those shrinky dink toys (they shrank when you put them in the oven). In cold weather, absolutely shinks every tendon, and muscles don't contract or relax in the same way--so yes, different things are achy. DAily PT stretching is still a big part of my routine. It is tricky.

You are exactly right. I have got to get back to my regular stretching. I've been SO lazy lately!
