Been traveling and my back has been hurting. I've done some cross training. Trying to slowly come back.

When's your trip to Africa? I'm so sorry your back hurts. I'm a mess when I can't run..I am really in a rut with it. I think it might be good for me to try some crosstraining sometime because I'm afraid all my none running muscles have atrophied.

Africa is in July. Right now I am just going to very boring places in the US and around Louisiana. I am going to try to come back very, very slowly (which I didn't do with my lower leg injury). I will probably just get running enough miles that I am happy, and then we'll leave for Africa. I do plan to run. I won't be able to run outside as it is not safe to do so anywhere we are going. Everywhere we are going should have a gym. It seems to be the thing there, including our safari lodge -- where if I ran I would be "hunted" so to speak.
