23 mph winds for 18 miles and at least 10 big hills...actually, probably more...This was a hard course and I felt great despite the poor showing on my time. No regrets.

 

The first 8 miles I had to slow down to keep the 8:20 pace.  We had done 2 hills at that time, but when I came over the 2nd one I was hit by a strong wind that didn't let up for the remainder of the run.  It was brutal.  Matt was on his bike riding from the other end and he found me shortly after that.
