Sprint work.  9 min average.  But the pace on the sprints was between 5:25 and 6:00min pace.  Did 15 reps plus a warm up and cool down

9:00 pace.  Not a great pace especially considering how much down hill I had, but I got the job done. It was enjoyable, but I felt really sluggish. Everything seemed to move in slow motion.  I'm not sure why.  I got PLENTY of sleep, but nutrition could have been better.

tried to go for a bike ride but my bike had a flat. Later I changed the tube out and found a great big thorn.  But 10 minutes after I put the tub in I heard a loud pop. The new tube had split down the center 3-4 inches.   A few days later I had Matt patch my original tube but it only kept the air in it for 3 miles.  Now I've got a new tube, but no good riding in this week.

Rode my bike 7-8 miles.  My watch died. In addition to that, we had to stop to replace the tube.

23 mph winds for 18 miles and at least 10 big hills...actually, probably more...This was a hard course and I felt great despite the poor showing on my time. No regrets.

 

The first 8 miles I had to slow down to keep the 8:20 pace.  We had done 2 hills at that time, but when I came over the 2nd one I was hit by a strong wind that didn't let up for the remainder of the run.  It was brutal.  Matt was on his bike riding from the other end and he found me shortly after that.
