8 miles in the morning.
6 miles in the evening.
I ran with the XC team this morning. Many of them said I looked like I was hurting. My quads weren't in the best shape so I kept it easy with them and then added a couple more miles after practice.
I worked at our new house all day today. We are getting the yard cleaned up and doing some minor remodeling in the house before we start moving everything in. My legs loosened up quite a bit since I was moving the entire day. I ran another easy 6 miles out in Ivins. Legs were still a little heavy. | Add Comment |

10 miles in the morning.
6 miles in the evening.
Once again ran with the XC team this morning. I added a few miles along the Dixie Center trail over by Bloomington Park. Surpisingly the legs felt much better this morning. You have to love recovery after a race. I guess the pain is worth it though.
I had a nice run out by the softball diamonds after work. I am glad to be running instead of playing softball where I would not be a good hitter and only touch the ball once or twice in the game. I love running! | Add Comment |

12.25 miles in the morning.
8 miles in the evening.
I had the team do a little relay to try and mix up practice a little bit and slowly start to incorporate speed work. I then did some more miles after practice. I ran from Bloomington Park over to the Dixie Center and back. It got fairly hot during the run. Legs felt really good this morning. I think most of the nasty pain is gone.
I would on our house for most of the day so I didn't get out for my run until late. I did another easy 8 miles out into Ivins. I am excited to be living out there because of all the beautiful scenery and number of running routes. Training should be good out there once we get all settled in. | Comments(4) |
| | I met up with Dave and Clyde and DC for our big workout. We did a 4 mile warmup and then 7 miles worth of tempo and ended with a 4 mile cooldown. This Tinman workout was great. I averaged 5:56 for the 7 mile tempo. It was out into Bloomington Hills on the loop. It was slightly uphill and not a ton of downhill so it was a true route. Legs were not as tired as I thought they would be. That is a good sign. It is nice to be done for the day but the downside is that I get to move everything into the house today. Yeah! | Add Comment |

12 miles in the morning.
8 miles in the evening.
I ran 6.4 miles with the XC team this morning and then added on some more around Bloomington Hills in order to get 12 for the morning. I have some sophomores that are really stepping up to the plate and doing well with pushing themselves. I get more and more excited for this season each day. It should be fun.
I got home late from work and ended up taking a 30 minute nap when I got home. I was really tired. I then went on my 8 mile run for the evening. I was having stomach issues and barely made to the Ivins City restrooms. When I was heading to the bathroom I heard someone say, "Logan." I wasn't sure who was calling my name that late but it turned out to be Hayden. I ran 4 miles with him and chatted about his 10k race yesterday. It was a nice run and fun to jabber with him. | Comments(2) |

I did another big workout today along the marathon course. I did a progression run with the first 8 miles very casual and then slowly picking up the pace for the last 10 miles. I went from Tinman tempo to MP to LT. Here are the splits:
1- 6:11
2- 6:02
3- 5:51
4- 5:42
5- 5:35
6- 5:32
7- 5:10
8- 5:04
9- 4:59
10- 4:59
.50- nice cooldown
This truly was a great workout for me. My legs were a little heavy once I started the 10 mile progression but I felt some what better after I started dropping the pace. I was pleased with the workout even though I had 2 potty breaks due to some cereal I ate last night. I was glad to see the pace get faster each mile. I need to continue having good workouts like this. I am happy to report that I am also not very sore. That is a huge bonus. It was a great workout with the guys this morning. | Add Comment |
