Bill, Dave, and I met at the store at 5am and then headed up to Enterprise for the 2nd Annual Steve Abraham Lincoln Hooper Memorial 17.35 Fun Run.  This race started last year and is slowly getting more popular!  There were not a lot of runners in this race so all three of us were happy about our chances of doing well.  This course is all on dirt road and has quite a few hills to climb up.  I made sure I pushed it as hard as I could on the uphill and relaxed the downhill.  I feel much stronger now going up hills than I did in the past.  I almost fell down going one hill.  My foot hit a rock and I pretty much went horizontal but was able to come away unscathed.  I then almost tripped again going uphill hitting another rock.  I am happy to report that I survived though.  We kept the pace conversational for the first 4 or so miles and then slowly picked it up.  All in all it was a great race.  I hit 2:06 something.  Not bad considering all the dirt and hill climbs.  The highest elevation point we hit was just over 6100 ft.  The Garmin was right on though.  I crossed the cattle guard and was at 17.35.  Not a USATF certified course but the people who marked the course last year did a phenomenal job with getting the correct mileage.

Bill took 1st place in the Masters division, Dave took 1st place in the Sub-masters, and I took 1st place in the Open division.  Our prize was waiting for us at the end of the race.  All three sat in the cold river for about 20 minutes.  It felt really good on the legs.  Great run for everyone today.  Might go for another short run this afternoon.

Nice race results Logan finishing first overall. Sounds like the course would be fun. That's a great way to start the holiday off with a win.

Nice job on the win amongst this stellar competition! :-) Maybe the RD can come plan a race up here!

I think the best part of this race is the name. A+ job to whoever did the dirty work on this one.
