Ryan's loop extended to 124th, plus Teton on my return. Amazing weather for the middle of December. 45 degrees and no rain or wind. What a refreshing change from the past week.

Thanks for the comment. My goal for the time being is to hit between 50-60 miles a week and see what that does for me in the upcoming months. My racing calendar is up in the air at the moment as I try to narrow down a target marathon. Considering (in no particular order): LA Marathon (March), Eugene (half or full), Spokane Marathon (May) and Seattle RnR (half or full).
My last marathon was Eugene so I'm anxious to get back out there. I wish I could find something close in February/March and that would solve my dilemma! :) LA is earliest but farthest distance and I didn't really enjoy Eugene, especially the 2nd half. Have you ever ran Spokane?

I've never run Spokane, no. I did Eugene last year and got a horrible leg cramp at mile 12 that pretty much stayed with me to the bitter - and I do mean bitter - end. But I really want another shot at it someday! I didn't like Seattle RnR much, but I wasn't really racing it either. It was hillier and hotter than I bargained for.
I'm running Napa CA in March, Newport OR in June.
I also really like the Yakima River Canyon Marathon, even though it has a monster hill near the end. Have run it twice. I think it's in March or April.

Of course! I had forgotten that you and me both had nasty leg cramps in Eugene which appeared right about the same time.
I'll never run the full in Eugene again. Way too lonely the last 16 miles. I think the half would be fun because you get the best part of the course, finish on Hayward track and it's only 2 hours from my house.
I'd forgotten about Newport. Thanks for the reminder. I'll look into Napa as well. If we end up at the same race again we'll have to meet up and say hello. :)
