8.3 miles this morning. Dropped my car off to get an oil change, then ran around GP for just over 1 hour.  Hit the $100 mark this morning.  When I started tracking this in January, I thought I'd be lucky to hit $30 for the year.  Needless to say, I've exceeded my expectations.  Secondly, people of Oregon litter like nobody's business...

8.7 miles tonight in Portland.  I ran from the hotel by the airport to the freeway, then ran on the "sidewalk" between 8 lanes of traffic on I-205 that connects Portland, OR to Vancouver, WA.  The noise was deafening.  I honestly couldn't hear myself talk.  But yet I see people running/biking on it all the time.  It was on my bucket list to cross the Columbia River to the other state & then return, so if nothing else, I can cross it off my list.  Never again...

people of the world litter like nobody's business. it's crazy how much trash is around -- everywhere. and money too, apparently. $100!

I've found probably $10 in loose change this year. The rest has been for 5 cents for every plastic bottle aluminum can that I pick up and take to the recycle center. Seriously shocking that every day I find 10-20 bottles, some days MUCH more.

i thought $100 was pretty high for finding loose change -- $10 is more reasonable, but still impressive.

kudos on picking up bottles, etc. that's awesome. i too am shocked by how much litter is just lying around on the streets. we live on a pretty busy main road and we get a big gulp cups, food wrappers, or similar items thrown on our sidewalk/driveway 3-4 times per week. i don't understand it.
