So, last night ... I had every intention of running on the treadmill, but I made the mistake of starting our taxes. So, ... at MIDNIGHT, I finally went to bed - our taxes are done (not double-checked) and I never did run. It's funny - I can never seem to stop doing our taxes once I get started. The need to know how much we'll get back (or how much we'll OWE, as it turned out this year) becomes obsessive until I finally finish. ;o)

Anyway, today I attempted a track workout with Lynn; but after a 200 and a 400, I realized that my lovely bedtime had sabotaged my workout. So, instead of working on speed, I just ran 4 miles at a normal pace for me. So, she lapped me a couple times (ha!), but at least I got my 4 miles in and I feel great! We had rotten wind today, but beautifully warm temperatures - in the 50's! Saturday is supposed to get to 67!!!!! Can you believe it? But of course, it'll snow on Sunday. Gotta love Colorado Springs. :o) (I do, actually.)

Good job getting your run in! Sometimes our bodies just need to take it easy, as I am learning. Sorry about your taxes, but I understand the need to know. I am not patient when it comes to that.

Laura, Geneva is dead, just smelled like it was alive. Jealous of the warm weather, ours will be tomorrow. Always good to get your run done. Track workouts are hard unless someone of about the same speed is doing the repeats with you, and then, they are still darn tough.

Stay Cool, with good air, B of BS Rools out

Taxes! You are one amazing chica to be delving into that stuff until all hours of the night. They have quite the opposite effect on me. All James has to do is start talking about taxes and I go straight into alpha-mode. Good call about putting in the miles instead of the speedwork. I think I've actually gotten sick from trying to run fast on too little sleep.

Ah man, sorry you gotta pay this year! I did my taxes a few weeks ago and like you I was just playing around to see what we would get back (if anything...) and 2 hrs. later I was e filing- you can't stop once you start! I know Colorado Springs is a big town, but do you know Suzanne & Tannon Miles?
