Woo-hooo! Hey, I just thought of something...you really ought to invest in bear repellent (pepper spray) or something. Lots of people on this blog encounter wildlife on their runs. Snack-sized people like you have to be extra careful. :)

That's so funny! On my very first walk (when I over-did it!), I was walking on the Santa Fe trail which is gorgeous, but I didn't have a dog or a walking partner, so every now and then (when no one was closeby) I tried clapping loudly so I wouldn't happen upon a mother bear and her cubs, etc. I kept laughing about how stupid I must look, though. And I remembered from Parent Trap the "mountain lion repellent" -- hitting two sticks together. Ha!
