AM: 9.08 in 9:26 avg pace. Min Elevation:8,249'; Max Elevation: 8,659'; ~650' gain/loss. Another beautiful morning for a solo run. Ran up the canyon and realized that two days ago when I ran up the canyon, the wind was from the east. Usually the wind is down canyon (from the west) as it was this morning. I think that snow storm actually came in from the east, which happens occasionally. That would also account for slightly faster times uphill than usual a few days ago. Was a little over dressed, had to wear the warmer tights because the other ones are in the laundry and two long sleeved layers + baseball cap and gloves (the warmer ones again because the light weight ones are in the laundry.. really need to get on the laundry tonight). Felt pretty good overall.

Went for a cool down walk/hike with the older of the pups. The younger one refused to put on her harness and leash, so after dealing with a spazing out puppy for 5 mins I decided to put her back in the crate. I felt guilty on the walk without her. I know she was just super excited to see me and to go for her walk but she was being impossible. When we got back I took them out into the yard for some playtime before leaving for work today.

I have a love/hate relationship with laundry. I love it when it is done. I hate to do it.

Jared called this morning and told me they got another puppy. I knew they were looking for a free one to keep their husky company. This one is 10 months and mostly black lab with a little german sheperd. Jared said she has not had any training and he thinks she was a little neglected. Sounds like she will be a good dog, she just needs a little TLC. Bella, their husky is an alpha, so she is not sure about the whole situation, but Jared said they were out in the yard playing. They are both high energy so I told him he better lace up his running shoes.

Definitely hear you about the laundry. I feel the same way!

Wow- your son is brave to adopt two puppies at the almost the same time! Although, after saying that, maybe it's actually better so that they can entertain themselves. Even if we didn't have our 3 year old dog, the little one would be into EVERYTHING. It sounds like since they are already playing with each other that they will make a good pair. Hopefully he can get the new one on track with training and TLC. I think our first pup may have had some abuse because he still shys away from hands sometimes and we have never even thought about hitting him. Poor guy- but he gets lots of love now :)
