AM: 5 miles with pups on trails in ~13:14 avg pace. Goal was 60 mins at a heart rate of 145 bpm, but again had problems maintaining 145 on downhills (usually around 120) as well as uphills (~150). IT bands were also a bit tight on both legs, likely from the faster downhills yesterday so I decided to take it very easy today. Avg heart rate: 134, Max heart rate:154. Avg elevation: 8,500', 788 gain/loss. Started out in sleet that became rain towards the end of the run. We ran through the clouds in the upper sections of the trail. Very peaceful morning. Foam rolled and stretched afterwards.

I like your additions of L Pup and B Pup. Maybe we should start a Pup running blog. They could blog about all the cool smells and how they had to keep waiting for their human to catch up with them. And what it feels like to run with the wind in their ears. And the little furry critter that got away. And how they got in trouble because they would not hold still and stop barking when their human was putting on her running shoes. And.....ok ok I'm done. :)

Ha- yes.. that would be awesome. It would also be really interesting to hear about all the things that I don't pay attention to (animals, smells, sounds, etc). I'm sure most of their complaining would be about me.. 'ugh, she made us come back just when I almost had that squirrel- blast her!' or 'man, she is SLOW today.. what is her deal?' I think it would be highly entertaining :)
