Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Ole' hubby/coach took me on an 8 mile tempo run today.  He was able to go into work an hour early so he could take a longer lunch to help me out on this.  Thanks for having a flexible job/boss Tom!  I met him in at Novell and we started with a 2 mile warm up.  We then did the 8 miles at an average 8:25 pace.  We finished up with a one mile cool down and a good cold drink of water!  I tried to focus a little more on a quicker turnover.  It seems to help take the strain off of my IT band when it starts feeling a bit overworked.

We had a fun time at our neighbor's 4th annual fish fry last night.  They had 120 fish fillets along with chicken and hot dogs for the non fish lovers.  Everyone brought side dishes and dessert.  There was even a live band there.  There was about 130 people and everyone, young and old, seemed to have a really good time.  Thanks Tuckets for hosting a very fun family home evening!

Great run Kim! Fun FHE :) I miss the old neighborhood parties from when I was a kid. We may have to start up that old tradition.

You did great today Babe! Now nice and easy the next 3 days to be good and fresh for the LAST long-long run prior to SGM.

Kim, we will likely not have a fun run before St.George. Things are just not working out. Maybe after St.George.

No need to say it, be careful the last few weeks before St.George.

Sounds like a very fun afternoon. That's awesome that you and Tom get to run so often together. Fun date nights, mornings, afternoons, whatever. Good job today!! Fun Family night too.

Lucky you to have a coach in the family! Your headliner actually scared me when I first looked at it. 24 days. (Deep gasp.) Breathe, breathe...

I agree about the fast turnover. Gets you going and also is easy on the legs.
