Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

I went out with Tom this morning to do the last of our currently scheduled hill repeats.  I guess next week we will do some track work.  I've never done that, so it will be yet another running learning experience for me.

After the hills we were going to pick up Kellie P for a few miles.  On our way to her house we ran into Kelly G  and he joined us for a few blocks.  When I got home and added the distance I ran with Tom to the distance I ran with Kellie, I realized I was .2 from 8.  I almost decided to go back out and get that last .2 but decided I wouldn't let it bug me and stick with what I had.

It was a little nippy out this morning and the wind was doing it's thing, but there was no rain.  Good way to start out the week!  It looks like we will have sunshine today.   So I think I will open up my heart and let the sunshine in!  =)

Have you gotten into st. george yet? did you look into the grand slam? I think even if you didnt run ogden you can still run des news and the rest to make it in. Its insane but Im doing it this year. I have to run ST. George.

I haven't got in yet. This weekend I am trying to win an entry at the Heart of Holladay 5K. If that doesn't work I'm probably doing the charity option. I thought of the grand slam option, but this is my first marathon ever. I wasn't sure I wanted to turn it into my first four marathons ever. You notice my blog name at the moment is SGM or bust...and that is just what I will do.. SGM or BUST! I am working so hard with my training that I really want to get in and run the same one as Tom. I know there are other marathons out there, but I want SGM! Good luck to you!

Yeah, not a good idea to run 4 marathons your first year huh? I tried calling some of the charities listed and most of them have given out the spots. Good luck saturday!

Tom's girl, always has sunshine on a cloudy day.

Cross your fingers, arms and eyes on saturday, good luck on the St.George golden ticket.

Thanks Brent, but I think I will have a pretty clumsy race under those conditions!

I WANT THAT GOLDEN TICKET! If my name isn't called there may be a few tears, just a warning to those who might be within tear distance.

Hola! I will pray you get in SGM. Is it a random drawing? You just have to!

Hey if you get a chance- email me wwmarion@hotmail.com I have some questions for you :)

From Kim on Mon, Jun 09, 2008 at 18:12:59

Thanks, It is a random drawing, but others can run in my name. So I know of 8 running with my name and a few others that I'm not sure if they signed up or not. I have no idea how many others will also be there with the same hopes as me. I guess one person will go home happy....could it be me?

From Jody on Mon, Jun 09, 2008 at 18:46:38

Jody, that is so nice! I know you want it too! I just hope it is a FRB-er who really wants it that gets it!
