keep it slow Ken. That pace is comfortable for you? I am a dead man next time we run together! show some mercy!

I'll take that as a compliment. I do need to slow more of my runs down. I'm still a rookie at long distance running. Tomorrow I'm going to try to keep it around 6:50 for 18 mi. I tend to go according to how I'm feeling and finish with not much left.

You want to go tomorrow? Kayenta Loop. We'll go from my house at 5:45am. call me 680-1592

So I guess I’m an activist at heart. I noticed we’ve only had 13 votes but 144 views and there are more of you out there. I know some people don’t use the discussion board of the blog so I’m posting this comment on everyone’s blog that has updated in the last few days or so to bring your attention to both the discussion section and the mileage board. Please read the discussion here (http://fastrunningblog.com/forum/index.php/topic,324.0.html) and then vote here (http://fastrunningblog.com/forum/index.php/topic,348.0.html) if you have an opinion. If you already voted, I am sorry about the “spam.” Thank you!

Ken, thanks for the message. I am looking forward to joining you guys for some runs too. After some thought, tomorrow (Friday) morning I am going to play it conservative regarding long runs on the roads (stress fracture last fall) and instead hit the college track for some up-tempo work in preparation for the Utah Summer Games. Following the summer games, I will plan to join you guys on the nice long roads. My # is 986.4216, call anytime.

Mike Schramm and I are looking for one or two 4x4 relay partners at the summer games - any interest? Time is of no concern, just for kicks...
