woooo!!! 18 down! 1 long run to go!

a friend of mine met me at mile 3 and ran 9 miles with me, so that was nice to have a little company. was able to push the last 2, probably around 7:30 pace for those.

power gel = my heat and soul

and i came back and still weighed over 100, which means i did a great job drinking and eating along the way! (during my last marathon i always came back under after my long runs, and that scared me).

heading out to the tailgate and game. go noles!!!

Thanks! It was a pretty good run, but my legs are not too happy about it today.

I'm 5'4, and when I get to my high mileage for my marathon training I get a little too small. So I have been keeping my weight up a little higher this time, and making sure I eat a lot before, during and after. I think I owe most of my success to my bowl of ice cream every night :)

Sorry about the legs ;) They'll get over it :D

You are TINY!!! Yes- you must eat! Eat some for me!!! :D

You can reach under 100?! You may need to modify your gel belt to carry muffins or just get a muffin backpack.

Nice Long Run Kelsey! I love power gels... once i discovered them, my long runs were so much better/easier. I have a whole box of them:) Your marathon is just around the corner now... r u going to taper for 2 or 3 weeks?

And ditto to the other posters... you are tiny, eat some for me too:)

Yum, a muffin pack... don't mind if I do!

It is definitely getting close, I'm getting excited/anxious! I am running a 15k this weekend, the following weekend running my 20 miler and then tapering for 3 weeks. Although I am worried about finding a perfect balance so I don't taper too much or too little. I think I'm going to look through everyones blogs for some tapering samples :)
