They changed the race schedule around, meaning I ended up running a 400 and then the 2 mile. I ran the 400 in about 64 or 65 and won by 1/1000 of a second! It was super close. I ran so hard that I honestly thought my quads were going to rip off or I was going to fall down. It was crazy. When I finished I had tunnel vision. It was only a second or two faster than my 400 a couple weeks ago, but apparently that made a big difference. Probably because I went out faster so I was dead.

Then I had a 3 minute break before the two mile. I knew I was in trouble because my legs were all messed up. It was horrible! I ran 13:07, a minute slower than two weeks ago. I didn't think one 400 could mess me up that bad but it did.

Today was the ice cream social since it was the last track meet, but you never get any if you do the distance event. So instead we went out for ice cream after and I got a brownie sundae with cheesecake ice cream. It was unbelievable. It made me realize how much I really love real whipped cream. And hot fudge. And a brownie and ice cream.

My prize for the summer track series was a 10 dollar gift card to the local running shoe store. Although I can't eat it, it will definitely be put into use!

Tunnel vision??? Scary! I hate that when that happens, but I have brain issues, so I am used to it ;) Quads ripping off??? WOW!!! Sounds like you needed an ice cream social :)

The gift certificate sounds cool, that and your Piggie Medal make a perfect Queen Prize for a RHPC!!!
