For those of you who are like me and have tons of old running shoes, the link above takes you to info on how you can recycle your shoes through NIKE and they build playground equipment. Pretty neat!


 

Didn't run today, but ordered a new pair of training shoes (Brooks Adrenaline GTS 8- the same ones I have now but a different color) AND a new lighter pair of shoes to do speed workouts and shorter races (New Balance 903s). That way I can start cycling them in as my marathon training will wear out my current shoes rather quickly.  Oh yeah, and I ordered a case of GU so no more sports beans for me!

I did, thanks! Not only was it great seeing friends from school, but it is so much fun running in a new place. Now I'm back to the grind of running in the same places and having trouble finding motivation. But I bet new shoes will add a little excitement when they get here... it's the little things in life :)
