I'd say do your best to stay dry during the warmup (maybe warmup inside if it's an option, if not, just do your best to keep your core and head warm/dry during the warmup), then run outside just a minute or so before the start, dressed as if it were dry. Half marathon race pace should keep you warm enough.

yes, just try to stay as dry as possible so you don't start the race soaking wet. as for the 40 degrees...nevels is right. you will stay plenty warm running at race pace. those white gloves in your picture also might be a good idea. good luck tomorrow.

Thanks guys, you made it seem a little more bearable. About to leave and it's 37 and raining pretty good. I think I am wearing shorts, short sleeves and this fancy schmancy running rain jacket i got yesterday. (Early Christmas present from my parents, woo hoo!) Plus the gloves.

I bet I am one of the only people that is going to sign up for this thing on race day!

Hi Kelsey, how did the race go? Are you going to be in Tallahassee over Christmas? We will be in Gulf Shores ... we might be able to take a drive and meet you 1/2 way if you want to run on Saturday?
