Something has got to give! The calves were very tight today feeling as though there were knots in each leg. Left more so than the right. I only made it about 1.75 miles (with breaks too often) before I gave up and walked for quite a long stretch. Finally after feeling the tightness wane at around 30 minutes into the workout I started doing intervals of jogging and walking without too much discomfort.
This is driving me nuts! Tomorrow I will make a point of doing some very gentle calf stretches throughout the day. I'm also going to look for a multivitamin with an eye towards something to help with the muscles but I have to be careful because salts might up my blood pressure. Oh well. I got *some* distance covered and burned a few calories.
