Tyler took the scouts ice fishing this morning so I had a neighbor girl come over to watch my kids while I went for a long run. My friend JaNae is running a marthon in AZ in 3 weeks so she wanted to go for a longer run then I would normally do on a Saturday, but given the low miles (in other words, NO MILES) this week, and my very limited opportunities to run with JaNae lately, I wanted to go out with her and get some good miles in today. The weather was so fun this morning. It was perfect temps and we would get an occasional drops of rain here and there. It reminded me of Fall weather except for the ever present snow and slush off the sides of the road. But it was really fun to be out running. I felt really good except for my sciatica has been giving me fits for a while now and it really took a toll on me today. I am not sure what to do about it. I think I may need to go get it checked out. For now, I am trying to stretch it really good throughout the day to keep it from flaring up. Hope it works.

Nice way to end the week! I am sorry about that ornery sciatic nerve! if you know yoga, the half lord of the fishes really helps mine. hang tough sister ;)

You have some great fast races! Way to go on the BQ! About the sciatic, I have had issues with mine in the past. That can be an extreme pain. I remember sometimes having a hard time sitting for a long period of time.

I tried to really pull in some cross training to work some different muscle groups. Spinning, a lot of yoga, and I even swimming. These are just some suggestions.

Get better soon.
