Well, well, well. Welcome to the blog, dear friend. I hope you haven't used my blog as a format of simplifying your entries. I am super boring these days, unless I'm in Hawaii. Expand! "Running with Tara was awesome! She really knows how to run and talk at the same time." Maybe not.

"Running with Tara was awesome, except for her foul stench and the booger hanging out of her nose that I was too embarrassed to tell her about."

From Karen on Fri, Nov 07, 2014 at 07:35:39 from 71.199.62.115

Ha ha Burt How did you know?! Have you been running with Tara?

I am so bad when it comes to writing. I should expand and explain alittle more just for fun.

From Tara on Fri, Nov 07, 2014 at 08:51:20 from 50.186.87.12

Um, Burt wishes we ran together.

I only blow snot rockets on my shirt occasionally. I'm getting better. Plus, why shower when I'm going to get sweaty every single day? Answer that!

From Burt on Sat, Nov 08, 2014 at 21:53:20 from 174.17.82.224

You know what? I'm actually not going to answer that, but I'm going to let you think about it.

Run with Carla and Trent.

Had a sprint race in the middle of the run and my max pace was 4:05!

I started out my run this morning on my own then I ran into some friends! I always say "hi" to people I pass by and recognized Carla's jacket form a distance. I called out Carla and Kay's names and ran over to join them. It was such a nice surprise. Especially because I wasn't planning on running this morning.

Awesome kick butt run with Tara! (Better Tara?) We got to talk and catch up on things. It's so nice running with someone else. It felt like a progressive run but looking at my watch it really wasn't. We ran faster the last 1/4 mile then sprint to the end again. My max pace was 4:46. Not quiet as fast as the 4:05 I got thursday but still super fast to me. Plus I ran more miles before this time.

I need to start running in the morning. It's so hard for me to get up when it's dark and cold outside. I don't like to run by myself in the dark but I just need to do it and get used to it. I also realized I need to get warmer running clothes. It's getting COLD!

Be careful. One time Tara used the word fart in a race report, well, she used it several times, and she got censored.

I was kind of dreading going running by myself this morning, but it turned out to be a great run. I was able to keep a 8:25 pace and still managed to sprint to the end. The sprint wasn't fast at all but faster then my average pace. Got some good news today and had a great day!

I met up with my friend Erin at 5:40 and then Carla at 6:30. It was nice to get up and get a run in and get it done. Felt good all day and got stuff done. It was cold but if I kept running it wasn't to bad.

James and ran in the Smithfield turkey trot last year and decided to do it again this year. It was poring rain! We were soaked before we even started the race. About mile 3 it started snowing off and on and ended with lots more rain. I don't mind running in the rain when I can go home right when I am done, shower, and change into dry clothes. We were so cold and wet that it was miserable waiting around for the results. We eventually took off and didn't get our ribbons for placing in our age division. I was a little sore I gues but felt really good after. Just really cold.

I was going to meet up with Erin this morning but she wasn't felling well and had to cancel. I decided to be a good girl and go running by myself. Oh my those 4 miles I went were sooooooo hard. I don't know what my deal was. I could not get myself moving. It took me 50 min to go 4 miles. I met up with Carla about 6:30 and managed 2.5 miles in 30 min. Not much better. I am going to put the blame on the rainy turkey trot race. I was really sore after too.

We are in Nabraska now with family. Chrissy, Becca and I went for a run this morning. It was a chilly 18 degrees. We just look it slow and got to catch with each other. Now for the turkey dinner! Happy Thanksgiving!

I finally found time to run up the Muller park trail to elephant rock. It was fun. There was some slushy snow, and some ice towards the top but was still runnable. I have never done a up hill trail run. It was fun and kind of weird running so fast on the way down. I kept thinking of my mom when I was younger telling me to not run down the trail.
