I am missing a shoe.  I have a dozen pair of shoes lying about; some my son took to mow lawns in, some I mow lawns in, 4 pair are currently rotating and running, but one of those 8 shoes is missing.  I really want to squeeze another 100 miles out of that pair...

8 miles, 67 minutes.  2 warmup, then three in the middle at 7:30 pace.  It didn't feel great.  This treadmill festival of running wasn't the greatest.  Having to stop in the middle to serve/eat dinner didn't help much.   The last three after beans, homemade french bread and meatballs were somewhat pedestrian.  Maybe tonight's Biggest Loser run will go better.  Since we already got all the romance of V-day out of the way last night by going to the tax prep lady, tonight I'll run through BL while my wife watches upstairs.

16 miler on Saturday...I hope Firebreak Road will be dry enough to do some on the hillside.

If I was wearing $120 cvx tights on Saturday I'm sure I wouldn't have been chipped by .7 seconds by the 1st place female, and that I could have made up the 7 seconds between 3rd and 1st place in my age division.  ha ha ha

I just read an article in the paper on Sunday about compression tights (and socks). I do not buy into it. ;o)

OK, how did you eat and serve a meal and then go right back to running? I would barf! I could not even run decently yesterday morning---a good 11 hours after my dinner the previous night. That takes talent.

Enjoy your run tonight! I am about fed up with Biggest Loser. I actually threw something at the TV last week. This is the weakest season ever. And any season that could make me dislike BOB whom I love is not a good one!

Have a great day! And good luck finding the shoe. Do you have a dog? That is where I would look.

This blog post cracked me up. Good job at getting the run in among all of your other activities.

I am always losing stuff and I live alone. I'm with Kelli...it must have been the dog.

running while full of beans and meatballs is quite a feat. very impressive

i hope you find your shoe.

Yeah, I was only 1/6th serious about the tights. And allie, I only ate one meatball. I think it's a good idea to run right after eating, because it helps to simulate that disgusting feeling at the end of a race.

I wish I could blame the missing shoe on a dog, but there are several children that might be the culprit. I think it disappeared into the transitory black hole that swallowed my jacket and wallet 4 weeks ago.

Kam, I actually stole your wallet. But not your shoe.

Kelli, thanks for refraining from using the credit cards so far...

Just have not had time to go shopping yet. ;o)

"Meatballs were somewhat pedestrian." Ha ha ha. We have talked quite a bit about these tights. I have no doubt they would have made you a winner on Saturday. I am going to look into them for you. When you win and prove to be a success, I will then buy them for myself. I think I can find them for a good deal....I'm looking. You need to win races and this is the key, not running. Just as a side note, now that I am thinking about it. I saw someone wearing a pair on Saturday. I wonder if that person beat us?
