Everything still works.  Right knee is stiff, left calf is knotty--no big deal.  I think I'll reduce the mileage a bit for the next few weeks and do more speed stuff for 5ks and Desnews 10k, then jump back in getting ready for Huntsville.  15 weeks, which is more than 6, by the way.

slightly more than 6. sounds like you have a good plan in place.

i foolishly agreed to run ragnar ultra style this weekend. tell me i'm going to love running 10.6 miles at 3am.

You made a foolish agreement like that last year, but had the foresight to get a stress fracture and avoid. Which leg are you taking? At least you'll be on a winning team...

A good plan other than the marathon selection. Sorry, allie, but I don't love tou the way you do. Ogden valley is my ancestral home, and I can't resist it's siren call.

good to hear your recovery is good - and of your race plans.

allie - i highly recommend taking both legs this weekend.

leg #4. it's not the crazy leg with the 17 miler like i agreed to last year, but it's still going to be 28+ miles total. i guess i just need to remember that however oppressive it may be, it's better than a stress fracture...

i think huntsville is a fine choice -- and seeing as it's your ancestral home, it will make it all the more enjoyable. logan is my college home, and i always feel "at home" on the TOU course, so i understand. i mostly force my opinion about TOU on people because i am always met with a "yeah, but SGM is superior" comment, to which i say "oh. i have never done that race. but i still disagree with you." i like to keep a closed mind about life's most important issues.
