Mom's mill huh? Does it feel harder to you on the mill? My treadmill at home feels a lot harder at the same pace then the treadmills at the Y.

April, it always seems to be harder to hit speeds on the treadmill than it does on the road. I don't know if the perceived effort is higher because there are fewer distractions, or maybe something else. When I run outside, I don't have a readout of my pace and seconds in front of me continually. This alone makes it hard to zone out and just float. Often I cover that with my shirt, and I find I can just motor better that way. As far as comparing from treadmill to treadmill, the three I frequent feel about the same pace-wise, although mine is by far the noisiest.
