10 pm  This is getting ridiculous.  It's been a busy little while with the new baby, election, car wreck, work crunch, etc.  That's a pretty good list of excuses, right?

I haven't been loving running all summer.  I've been doing it, but going through the motions.  I find when I have a stretch like this that even if it's just going through the motions, it's still worthwhile.  I'm not stretching for a pr, or running a goal race, but the physiologic and psychological benefits of 4-5 runs per week are imperative.

So even though my daughter's tennis banquet took 4 hours of  valuable, after work hours, when I got home at 9:45, I was on the road by 10.

Today the foggy haze has lifted.   My eyes are bright and my mind is clear.  Bring it on.

that is indeed a solid list. you have a lot to balance. i'm not liking the car wreck part -- hope all is well.

Thanks, allie. Are you going to the xc meet today?

Kam, ignore my comment on my thread. I am now updated on what you've been up to since Huntsville. You're now The Mailman - he delivers. Nice catch. And congrats on getting your groove back.

You have a lot on your plate for sure. You'll find balance when other important things are't pulling you in every direction. Hope the wreck wasn't serious.

The little mantra we all must live by: times and seasons. Running will always be there, like an old friend, when you're ready to renew your focus on it.
