7 am.  Freedom Hills, with a couple laps around the park, and a shirt soaking in the good sprinklers.  I came home the hilly way.  The 4th of July (and the local 5k) is right around the  corner.  At this point, beating last year's time seems unlikely.  What's worse is my apathy about this likelihood.

I've been doing a lot of runs, and I am enjoying myself.  The kids are coming along besides Ash, and we've got these relays and other events coming up.  But in order to have improved marathon performance, I need more workouts, not runs.  I'm barely working hard on a run once a week.

So I'd love to get together with running partners more often for some tempo stuff.  Currently I don't have the mojo to tackle it on my own.

Viewmont's track was looking nice this morning. I imagine it would be a good place to get some quality miles in. I'm in.

We need to all get together! I keep saying that but I'm serious now!! What time do you guys go usually in the am? Could you come down this way once a week and then we (me and Janae) come down your way once a week??? Lets meet for a run and talk!

I've been getting out between 6:30 and 7, closer to 7 most days. Maybe some 800 or 1200 intervals, or 2-5 mile tempo runs @ HMP, just something, you know? Even if we got together once a week, it'd help. I'd be happy to alternate weeks heading north and having you come to Bountiful. Tuesday or Wednesday?

Ok so what me and some of the girls have planned up this way is tues mornings at 6:15am up usually by weber state (one of my friends has to hurry home to relieve her husband for work so we gotta stay close by) and the other day on thurs evenings at Roy high on their track. Could you guys do either of these times? Sorry it's not much up your guys way due to babysitting issues. Let me know and maybe we will just all meet on Saturdays and do long runs together. So your doing Ragnar ultra? Your insane. Jk. What legs are you?

I'm up for tempo runs on the LPT but my pace may be a little off right now (6:40ish). I could probably be talked into track work at Viewmont or Bountiful.

Andy, that pace sounds just right. It's tough to add much travel to the runs, so LPT or BHS track might be the trick. It's a 2+ mile warmup to get to BHS, and then hammer out some stuff, if you are game.

Angie, it looks like Saturday long runs will be the best bet, especially as Huntsville approaches. I want to spend more time on the last 10k. We rocked the downhill, but needed more work on the flat finish.

Yes I agree fo sho!

Yeah, I'll stick around here if there are people to run with. Let's try to find time for some weekend runs!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. ;) I'd love to get together with more runners to get pushed and motivated. I know Tara. I go early though. 5:00 AM. ;)
