This evening provided ideal conditions for a run;  cloudy, brooding sky, amazing greenery, cool temperatures.  Unfortunately the run didn't live up to conditions.  It took 4 miles before I ever found a groove.

On a separate note, I got the bad news today that my runner #5 for Wasatch Back in 2 weeks has a stress fracture.  Good luck filling that slot on a regular team, let alone an ultra. Did I mention she was going to cover the Ragnar leg?  So if you want to join up, let me know.   Leg 1 is 7.1 miles, Leg 2 goes for 17.3, and Leg 3 is 7.6.   We've got a really cool shirt coming.

Recruit Crockett. He's a mad man!

We had to get a fill-in for leg 5 also. She wasn't really excited but was willing if we weren't planning on pushing everyone to their limits...(which we aren't). I'm glad I'm on a regular team though, seems a little crazy to do an ultra team. Good luck and have fun! BTW: Way cool picture you got there!

The conditions were similar for my run this morning. It felt really good to just relax and try to run slow. I wish I lived closer, I'd love to fill that spot on your team.

Mike, it's too bad you can't come jump in. Thanks, Kim. The hair is long gone since that pic on a windy evening at Newport Beach. (that sounds really exotic)
