I met Tara and ran from the start of Firebreak Road to Farmington Canyon, then home.  The company was great, the temperature was too warm.  I'm thinking about cadence now.  My son has a schoolmate named Cadence, and I always wonder about those parents.

This week I'm supposed to do four 8's and a 20+.  I didn't get out this morning, (should have) so is anybody interested in an evening run?  I'd also like to go to Great Basin National Park.  It's been a while since I climbed Wheeler Peak and felt reverent by the Bristlecones.    That would put my 20 in Baker, NV.  Ah, the possibilities.

Nice trail run. That fire break road has a deceiving amount of climbs/descents on it. Makes for quality runs close to home.

I am so sick of TOO warm. I hope your 20+ miler is pleasantly cool.

JD, any run on the trail beats a car-infested road by a longshot.

allie, it looks pretty definite I'm headed to NV. It's probably just as well, since I would never keep up with the allie, jake and andrea trifecta. I'll have to experience that failure some other time. Keep me posted if you and Tara ever get together for a run, though.

Kelli, October can't come fast enough for me. Baker is at 5800', and it looks like nighttime lows will be in the high 40's, so I'm looking forward.

Better than looking backward.
