| Snowy morning 3 miler with Mara up the Freedom Hills switchbacks to Little Valley Road and winding back through some random trails down the mountainside. Just snowy enough to obscure rocks and such, but not snowy enough to protect us from them. I came down the mountain staggering and tripping like a drunken newborn giraffe. Very graceful. No injuries though. Bonus. :) Gotta throw in a quick yoga MDR, make breakfast, get everyone ready, and get laundry sorted and going before I take the kids to the museum. My life is so glamorous! I love it!

Another great trail run with Mara this morning. 3.73 miles up the FH switchbacks, south on the BST, up the little canyon just past the waterfall, then came flying back down the hill and to the neighborhood roads to make a figure 8 course. I wanted to go further, but we ran out of time. It was chilly! The waterfall still had ice around the edges. Ready for some warmer runs in shorts without hats and gloves. All thing considered though, I'm just grateful to run. It's my first run since the Boston bombings and they were on my mind. I've been itching to run in my mountains. Don't they just feel that way when you're in them? Like they're yours. They welcome me back in silent greeting no matter how long it's been, challenge me playfully, and breathe new life into my soul. Eh, maybe it's just me. Or maybe I'm just cheesy enough to write it that way.
Morning yoga practice on the way. Last night's Alignment/Pranayama class had me dripping (including a LOOONG held headstand). I have some recovery tension that needs some serious breathing out. The kids are sleeping in since we got in late last night. I might get lucky and be uninterrupted.

Took my kids to the Freedom Hills Park so that warlordblade could go for a run and ended up hiking 3 miles to Rick's Creek Waterfall and back. The kids just wanted to hike! I carried a 3 year old on my back almost the entire way.
