I did my long run early this week, since I'll be traveling and it may be harder to get in a long run. I first ran about 7 miles up in the trails near Islander Park. Then I went to Andulka, ran 2.5 miles there and back. Then I ran a little cooldown on the grass near my house. In total, about 16 miles (I think a little more) in around 2:08. I was going closer to 7:30-7:40 pace on the parts that I know the mileage, so I'm guessing it was actually a bit more than 16. This was great. I felt tired at the end, but not hurting. I knew I needed to start getting some longer runs in, and this was a boost of confidence at this stage. Plenty of work to be done, but I think I'm at an okay place so far. |
