Nebo 1/2 Marathon 2011- 1:19:35- 2nd Overall,  first master. Ogden Marathon 3:14  (2010); 10K 2011 Speedy Spaniard 40:47.  I have run 38 marathons: 16 St. George (1995, 2006-2019, 2024). Utah Valley (2011, 2014), Eiluj (2011), Deseret News (2015: 3:40 pacer  & 2023),  Ogden (2009, 2010), Boston (1996,2012,2014,2018, 2024)Top of Utah (1999, 2011 pacer), and SLC (2006,2015), Pocatello (3:40 pacer 2012),park city marathon 3:41:53 (2013), and Big Cottonwood pacer (2017,2018),  Nebo Marathon 340 pacer (2024)Timp trail marathon (2021) and three Ultras-Squaw Peak 51.25 miler 2010 in 12:05:27 (9th woman) and  Antelope Island  (32 miler) in  March 2011 (4th overall in 5:10:25) and in 2009.

AP with a SUPER SINUS INFECTION going on = 8:40.  First mile 9:30.  So feeling gross.  Ran planned run and to try to work out this grossness.  But 4.5 miles never felt so long.  My head felt so heavy and if I picked up the pace my throat would hurt.  So tomorrow?  Well of course I will run my 20 miles, just not sure how I will run the half (I am not registered so it is not do or die).  I think I will just do the run but do it at marathon pace instead of 1/2 marathon pace.  It wouldn't be wise to full on take this on like a race--- I haven't had a cold like this in a long time.  I am super bummed.  I hate decongestants because they make me feel more out of body so I am just taking tylenol and advil.  BLAH.  That's what I get for going down a kiddie slide and not plugging my nose.  Man did that inoculation hurt.  So gross to still think about what germs invaded my head.

Are you planning to bandit HC? If so you should join me. I am going to start at the golf course and run the 6-7 miles up to the start. Then pace a friend shooting for a 1:45 down. Let me know if your interested. You could always go down at your own pace (way faster than me) but I would love to have someone to run up with. :)

Maybe you will wake up and feel amazing tomorrow! I am the same way with any cold medicine..I can't take it, it makes me feel like I am a zombie, I'm afraid to drive under the influence of cold medicine!

Hi Rachelle- I am riding there with Melanie. We are warming up at the start for 2 miles running the half then CD for three miles. If I didn't feel so crappy I would certainly want to run UP 6 or so miles with you like my usual fun running self but this is a shocker..I am taking a strong natural antimicrobial waiting for "that amazing morning" April is referring to. My right tonsil is pretty gross right now so not sure how fast this med is going to work. Tylenol helping me NOT feel as crummy. You know the wasted muscle feeling you have when you have a cold? that is me right now. And I feel like I am under water. BLAH. I am whining. Sorry. I am just SOOOOOOO thankful this is NOT Sept 30th!!! A disaster in MANY shapes that would be!! I still have Mt. Nebo half. I just traded with a nurse at work so I have that Saturday off now to run it with Melanie and Kim. AlLLELUYAH!!! REDEMPTION THERE FOR SURE> BOY AM I RATTLING ON!! I am off to take a nap soon.
