10 mile "Recovery Run".  Ran up 1100 north (very steep) to the canal and ran 6.4 on the muddy in some parts trail, did some jumping and weaving but managed pretty well.  This was an out and back run.  I ran to 5 miles on my garmin and turned around just behind and a little west of Deerfield Elementary.  Thought I was going slightly uphill on the way  but when I turned around I realized the uphill was on the way back  (lovely) until the 8.5 mile point where I hit the steep downhill for .6 miles.  That's where I put in a 7:09 mile but no faster as the quads were angry.  Must have been the SW last Wednesday and 9th East at the "Time Trial" Saturday in Provo.  Also I have been only running in my old yet comfy, cushiony shoes since last Monday!!  They have a ton o' miles on them.  Waiting for my new ones to arrive if I can figure out how to order them.  There is a problem with the place I am ordering from and ebay not allowing the third party payer.  Blah....  So glad to be running on the trail again.  Managed a pretty good pace on dirt.  First mile 8:59.  Avg pace= 7:51 for 10 miles.

That's a pretty fast pace for recovery run! Hope the shoes you ordered work out fine for you. I forgot to mention that I also shop Amazon.com for running shoes.

smooth that is why I put it in quotations. someday i will recover : 0

The shoes I am trying to order are a pair I have run in three years ago. I found them but for some reason it will let me purchase them,,,it is New England Runners and they are 70 dollars no fee to send them but they work thru ebay and it keeps saying in red that ebay not allowing us to make a third party payment based on our request for myebay. yet we look on myebay and we didn't mark that so how do we buy them? the site has no information--address or phone number to call. I am going to have my husband work on it tonight.

Good luck with the shoes.

Hmmm, I dunno. If New England Runners sells the shoes thru eBay, the listing should be either as "bidding" or "buy it now". Either case they should have set up a payment method usually thru PayPal. Also most sellers on eBay has contact info. That's the safest way to purchase from a vendor on eBay. Hope your husband get it figure out.

Good luck getting those shoes ordered!

Good to go with what works for you! That is, indeed, a might fast pace for a "recovery" run. Oh yeah, this is a Julie recovery run so I guess I shouldn't be surprised:)

Nice run, Julie! You're running as if your legs have fully recovered! 9th E kicked the heck out of my legs. I'm still feeling it.

I have endurance just not speed Melody. Its the synapses they just don't fire like they used to but it doesn't hurt (too badly) to try anyway. Quads are fully recovered a few hours after this run, helps to run on dirt.
