Arrived 15 minutes earlier than I usually do at the rec.  Which is a problem because NO tms available.  I ran four on the track.  6.5 laps for a mile in the third lane.  I tend to run faster on a track.  I didn't have a watch but I remember the stop and start time on their digital clock and just guessed at how long it took to retie my  untied shoes and take a swig of water right at mile two.  AP probably about a 7:45 pace or less.    Yay a TM opened up.  Ran 8 miles  on  the TM  AP 7:41/ 2% incline.  8:00, 8:00, 7:47, 7:47, 7:41, 7:41, 7:35, 7:24.  Legs lead.  My cousin Jessica is visiting this week.   Makes it hard to want to do SW tomorrow  morning with the speedstars at the indoor track at 5:30am.  4 x 1600 supposedly.  BTW  Don't forget group run starting at my house this Saturday at 730am sharp-ish.  I will have breakfast at the finish line.  There is an eternal water fountain at mile 12 in Alpine.  This is an 18 miler but I think some may add on and do my usual 20 miler extension further into Alpine.  The courses are posted under "course tool" under "Group 18 or 20 miler".  I will probably get water/gatorade at mile 8.5 (Jane's house) other than that I would suggest bringing water if you need it.   In the Summer there are several places with water but not now except the eternal fountain.  The bathroom there has been open as well  :D.   Sometimes this route varies in intensity.  It is hilly but last five finally give you some downhill!!  Oh I could have made some wicked last five mile course but many of you might have cursed my name :D.  And I didn't want to get anyone lost.   Breakfast closes at 1030am!!  JUST KIDDING!!  : D.

Julie what is your address? I will be there and I am excited. :D Hoping to get 20mi and looking forward to having people there to tug me along the way. I need all the help I can get with these dreaded LRs.

I so wish I could come run with all of you, it sounds like such a fun time. Let's do it again next year :)

From Andrea on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 16:25:39 from 72.37.244.100

I'll probably drop a bike off at the Smith's on Rt. 92 so we can stash some water if people are interested. Also, let me know if you want us to help out with breakfast treats!

From Walter on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 16:31:29 from 24.2.69.110

Hey Julie, will you send me your address. I will be there and it sounds like there will be some fast guys to push me! I was going to announce it to my group but I dont want to overwhelm you so ill bring my bro in law that is a 7 pace if Kelli comes, he is her speed so he wont get ditched by me. lol Thanks Julie.

From JulieC on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 17:38:01 from 70.56.109.59

Andrea-- We don't pass the Smith's Marketplace. However when you drive to my house you can take that exit in Lehi that goes to AF canyon and turn down towards Timponogos Temple (that would be mile 14 or 16 for the 20 miler.

From JulieC on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 17:40:10 from 70.56.109.59

oh as far as treats-- I have two gallons of chocolate milk, a gallon of skim milk, pancakes/waffle, whipped cream and two bunches of bananas and syrup and almonds. You can add something different or bring some more of the above....it is beginning to sound like we will have oodles of fun run runners coming!! I got some PM from others.

are there any requests?? do I need to buy bacon??? I am wondering what the guys like to eat. Do I need to feed them meat???

From Chad Robinson on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 17:55:30 from 50.73.39.89

You can't have your pudding if you don't eat your meat.

From JulieC on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 18:38:25 from 70.56.109.59

Oh Yah I have oranges too!!

From JulieC on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 18:49:03 from 70.56.109.59

the more the merrier Walter!!

Andrea--- I was under the impression you all don't drink on long runs when we ran 16 miles together...I haven't been on my 18 milers but should. Please tell me at what miles you want water and I can set some out??? I am planning water/gatorade at mile 8.5 and at mile 12 the Eternal Water fountain keeps on flowing continuously :D. The 20 mile group needs to just run .1 miles down to get that water then run back in Alpine. I am thinking a Lot of runners want the 20 miles.

From Andrea on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 19:20:23 from 67.177.21.60

Oh, I don't drink water on runs under 15 usually! I just meant that I could stash some on my way down if people wanted it.

From allie on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 19:22:59 from 97.126.211.101

i'll be there -- looking for 22 total, but the 20 mile route looks good and then i can just circle your house a bunch of times...

james is questionable because of his achilles, but if he comes i will bring another gallon of chocolate milk :)

From JulieC on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 19:50:57 from 70.56.109.59

I could map you out a great add on for the 22 miler if you would like !! I mean the course you all are running is actually 20.5 miles per course tool so all you need to do is run a little circle around the neighborhoods by my house :D.

From JulieC on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 19:52:16 from 70.56.109.59

I was thinking of picking up another gallon : D. Or adding hersheys to the plain. But for some reason that doesn't taste the same!!

From JulieC on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 20:04:07 from 70.56.109.59

Allie, I made your very own 22 miler under course tools!!! just the ending is fixed so you don't have to keep running around my neighborhood!! :D.

From allie on Tue, Feb 14, 2012 at 20:24:47 from 97.126.211.101
