Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 29, 21, 15  a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

I have been injured and wasn't going to run. Last minute I decided to do it knowing I wouldn't be fast. I didn't wear a watch I just ran. My hip felt good but leg are just not used to the pounding but I finished and only walked a few steps through water stops ran all the heartbreak hills and got emotional seeing the finish line!

Wow this was a hard race. I made the mistake of not lubing my feet from the beginning and they chaffed and eventually led to my demise. Left ankle and right knee got really painful due to running and hiking different because of the feet.  I will do the distance again just probably a more runnable course.

Was this your first 100 attempt? It's a beautiful course but tough.

A sock recommendation- Drymax Maximum Protection Trail Running sock. Expensive, but I owned 3 pairs and they are well worth it. So effective at preventing blisters, even when your feet are soaking wet (I did races where my feet were soaking for 24 hours and never got a blister). Very worth it- trust me. It's a shame to have so much training end in a DNF due to feet issues.

Jon this was my 1st attempt. Crazy enough I didn’t get any blisters the bottom of my feet chafed. It was so beautiful I enjoyed it and it was a bummer to DNF, my body just gave out.
