Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 28, 20, 14 and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Met Michelle at Hobble creek for our super spectacular uphill/downhill tempo.  We were both overly excited to do this workout.  I for one wasn't sure how my leg would feel and Michelle has had some aches and pains as well plus she just did a killer workout on tues.  We decided to keep it to 5 miles, 2.5 up and 2.5down.

1-7:08

2-7:49 faster than last week, but I thought I was faster than this (I must have looked at my watch wrong)

3-7:32 had a hard time trasitioning to the downhill

4-6:37 good

5-6:42 wanted this faster but done

35:46 for the 5 mile tempo

1:27:12/7:52

Leg felt good and overall felt good for the run.

Good job on the run. Yes we were both "very excited" about this. It just goes to show we can do it either way. Glad your leg's doing better.

If you are interested in a coed WBR team for next year, I could give your name to the captain of Full Nelson, who often wins the coed division.

I would like to put together a FRB one if I could. That is the only way Michelle will consider doing it.

Great job today! It's funny: I was very excited about my workout today too. I could actually feel the adrenaline when I started my first repeat. It went away quickly though...

It's a good sign: it means we're enjoying the running!

By next year, there should be enough fast chicas on the blog to field an all womens FRB team, don't you think?

From josse on Thu, Jun 26, 2008 at 17:54:14

That would be cool!

From Shauna on Thu, Jun 26, 2008 at 18:31:48

Cal, the answer to your question is YES! And, hopefully I'll be one of them!

I'm always glad to read how people come out of aches and pains....and see mileage and post stress/exaustion/injury work out patterns. Massage is the best physical/physiological therapy! I'm sure I'll learn about the scraping by and by, but man am I in love with my rolling pin right now. Anyway, Glad you're feeling fresh again. P.S. You guys should absolutley form a women's FRB team for Wasatch Back--that would be awesome.

Shauna- I was being sarcastic about us being excited:)

Luzy-I hate posting that stuff but I like for other people to see what I

Then special thanks for taking the effort to report it. Coming from a runner of your caliber, you set a great example. It' been important and enlightening for me (on this blog), to see how other's manage their body's limits while simultaneously exploring its potential.
