Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 28, 20, 14 and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Met with Luz with my dog and ran on the path.  Nice morning, her dogs didn't come because one of them had a thorn in her paw.  Saw Matt on the trail, he turned and ran with for a mile or so.   Was tired at first and my right foot was sore, probably from rolling on the ball yesterday but felt good once I got going.

Good job getting it done! Was wondering, whats your thoughts on the Ogden marathon course?

I love the Ogden marathon, but like any it has it's challenges. The first 6 or so are a gentle down hill, then it flattens out for a couple before you start on the never ending rollers. A big climb at about 15.5 and then around the dam is flattish and finally at 18.5 you start on the downhill. Coming out to the canyon at 23 is a killer, you get on a paved path that follow the river so you think it is going to be down hill but you get these short little uphills that make you want to scream. And hopefully you won't have killer heat like we have had the past 2 years. But like any marathon you have part that you love and parts that you hate. Just don't wear yourself out on the middle/rolling section or you can't use the downhill at the end. And most of all just have fun:)

Josse, I still don't remember any "fun" -- did I miss it somewhere? ;-).

It seems like you are doing much better these days? What kind of cross-training are you doing?

Have a good day!

I do the elliptical or bike most of the time and sometimes still swimming or pool running. I usually post it but must of spaced that off.

I must be sick to think marathons as fun hu?

Thanks for the Ogden info. You threw in a couple of great tips that I will keep in mind. Like you said, its all about the fun!
