Woke up and drove there at 5:30 in the van. Warm up and then race! Not gonna lie it wasn’t the best race I have ever had but it was definitely better than the road race by a million. They changed the course so we had to go up a hill 3 times rather than 2. It was a hard race but it was a good time. I’m glad I got to go. Shoutout to my teammates who freakin killed it.
Currently driving home with Christian alison and Nate. We went to the hot pots in Filmore. It was a good time

| | well i was gonna meet and run with alison but she slept in for freakin ever so i just left. i went canyon to bicent and after i ran up the canyon i was following thomas for quite a while cuz he was on the dirt trail which was a little longer and i was on the paved one. once i got into the park he had stopped cuz koy was coming toward us. we stopped and talked for a sec and then thomas ran with me the last 4 miles. he is sooooo cool. we havent talked alot til today and i wanna be friends. he is from france and walked on to the team this year. it was way fun to talk with him.

| | 2 mile warm up and then an 80%. this is such a tough workout for me. as soon as i lose contact with the group i struggle so hard to stay focused on running hard. it was at least consistent today. 18:54 was my time, which is 5 seconds faster than last time. I need to start working on staying in contact with the group in front of me for as long as possible. today was barely more than a mile. next time will be better! I can feel myself getting stronger in workouts and i love it so much, even if it is just in small increments. cooled with angie morgan and haley. did a few laps on the grass after to get to 8

| | 7 miles, park to bicent with some grass loops, not everyone did grass so it was just me alison haley and julieta. then we ran back and coach biked with us. i seriously love it when he bikes with us, hes a funny guy.
then 10 strides and then a few laps to get to 8 miles with haley.

| | Practice on the mountain this afternoon 3x50/80 Miles. 7:21, 6:19, 7:34, 6:59, 7:50, 6:37. Oh my gosh this workout was way hard, but I did it! The second 80 was a little rough. Cuz it was literally alllll uphill. Coach split us in to groups. I was with Brighton and Sam. I hung great with them the 1st and last one. Mike cool

| | I was dying today. Me and Alison came up north for maroon 5 (which was very lit btw) and then met with Julieta for our workout. I am freakin sick and couldn’t breathe like at all and kept coughing. So I did most of it but it got to the point that the workout was doing me no good so I just stopped and jogged. 15x400 is what I did. It was good the first 10 and slowly just got worse and worse the last ones. Cooled to 7

| | 50% today on dikes. Holy cow my body was so tired. I’m definitely getting feeling better but not 100%. I ended up only doing 5.5 and then strides after. Meeting up with a few girls later to finish mileage

| | 2 mile warm up, 8x800 with 60 second rest. coach started us at 2:50 and then slowed us down to 3:00 after one beucase the faster girls said their pace was too fast. I still ended up averaging 2:57 which is great. it was me brighton and sam and haley in a group, the last couple i fell off a little bit, but i was doing pretty good! by the end my legs felt way tired, kinda like noodles. started at 2:53, and had a few that were pretty similar to that, my last 3 were 3:00/3:01. cooled to 8

| | 8.5 easy. coach decided to split us into "equal groups" today but it was me and sam and brighton and then everyone else. he made us wait 90 seconds before we could start running. we stayed the exactly same distance behind them the entire time lol. it was a good run. i enjoy running with those two because they are fun. 7:45 average. we did a new run today and it sucked. the last 4 miles were allllll uphill. just slightly, but enough that you could definitely feel it
Brighton might quite possibly be one of the funniest and coolest people i have met. i never really talked to her last year but i really really like her alot.

| | Am- mile warm and then a 60%. It was definitely my best 60. I averaged 6:26 and I felt decent. I was with my group but I kept having to blow my nose so I had to slow down a few times. Everytime I would catch back up except the last time and I stayed the exact distance behind the whole rest of the 60. Mile cool

OH MY GOSH. This was the best race I’ve had in a hot second. Lately I have had a really hard time staying focused when I run but today I was doing really good at telling my mind to knock it off and stay focused. I ran 35 seconds fast than last year and a 18:21 for a true 5k. Not exactly sure yet. I’m seriously so happy with it and I’m so excited to keep running. Cooled some with Alison and some with Brighton. Seriously so so so happy.
And for the first time i think possibly ever coach houle acted like he was 1000% happy with me. like actaully. He always says good job but this time you could tell he actually meant it.
Also if i was in the championship race i would have been right with Haley!!! AHHHH im happy and there is still so much more. i know there is. I have so much potential, i just have to keep racing so i can figure out how to tap into it.

PM- I accidentally fell asleep for 2 hours while reading my book for english. it was definitely a well needed nap but i was not very productive. 1.5 on the treadmill at the gym

| | 1.5 mile warm, 7x1000's with 3 min recovery. 3:58, 56, 57, 4:00, 4:04, 04, 04 were my times for each one. we did them in the grass today and it was hard but good. my legs were really tired today. coach was having me work on opening up my stride. i think i was doing a good job of it.

| | AM- 3 mile warm, one mile hard (5:43) 4x400 at 78, 83, 85, 84, cool down 2. the people traveling this weekend didnt do the whole workout, and it is a dang good thing. holy cow, my legs were sooo tired today.
weights after cuz i cant do wednesday weights cuz i have a class.
PM- 1.5 on the treadmill with bell in the gym. idk what possessed me to sign up for a weight class, but something did and i dont reccomend it. i have gone a total of 3 times and i still have to go 32

| | weelp, so i got ready to run and then we didnt even have practice this morning so i went back to bed with the intention of waking up at 8 and running a few miles before class, buuut i slept til past 9:00. then brighton sent out a text saying that some ppl were meeting at 3:00 to run so i ran to the track and waited. and waited. and waited. and then right when i was about to leave to just go do mileage by myself, sam finally showed up and told me that brighton was on her way. then brighton finally came at like 3:20 and told me she forgot to mention that they werent meeting til 3:30. then we waited and waited and waited til 3:40 when ashley hawks and angie came to meet us.
it honestly was a good run, even though i waited for 40 minutes lol. we just went up canyon to get 6 and then we did strides and then i ran home.

| | 7 with Haley on Walmart canyon. It was a super chill run, 7:35 pace. Stopped at maverick to go to the bathroom, finished to the track and then did 10 strides at mile pace and cooled to finish the rest of mileage
Weights. And then I went to the trainers and had them release my piriformis. It feels so weird but it helps sooo much

| | 10 mile long run with 10x60 second pickups with 90 sec rest. We did 8 mile dykes to canyon. It was actually a way good run and felt nice. My legs were tired and the first few pickups were hard but all in all, ir was good. 7:25 pace
