I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

PM- Drove up to Dupont for a solo run after work. Some friends are running a 25k there tomorrow so I ran to the course and did it backwards, with some add ons. Lots of sweet singletrack out there. I was pretty darn tired by the end. Finished with 23 miles and 2600 ft climb in 3:35 or so, 143 avg heart rate. Only saw 5 people the entire time.

The drive home was eventful. I was driving down a windy, mountainous, rutted dirt road that is only a single lane wide. 5 miles down it, there was a full-size semi tractor towing a 53' Fedex trailer up this road. Of course, it didn't fit- the trailer started sliding off one side towards the creek while the cab was pressed against the mountain on the other side of the road. Yes, the road was completely blocked. I have no idea how they will get him out. I turned around and stopped by the fire station 10 miles later so they could send the sherriff. Added about an hour to my drive home. All I can say is, if you're driving a semi with full trailer, NEVER try to drive up a single lane dirt road. Even if your GPS tells you to. Common sense here, people.
