Lunch- 3 days of high mileage, little sleep, and too little/crappy food caught up to me.  Drove to Croft/Southside again for a nice trail run.  14 miles, though the last half was a slog with a few sitting spells.  Still, trails are always nice- saw some deer, and just 6 people.  Muddy thanks to 1.5 inches rain yesterday.  2:13, ~800 ft climbing.

Bought Unbreakable (about 2010 Western States 100) and watched it last night with Marci.  Awesome story.  Marci couldn't believe I was making her watch it, but she was really into it by the end (especially since she didn't know who won).

Take a look at the preview here: http://www.ws100film.com/

Definitely enjoyable for ultrarunners, will depend for others.

You sure it wasn't the same 6 people as Monday? Did they need help?!?

From Rob Murphy on Wed, Dec 28, 2011 at 21:45:07 from 76.27.122.13

I know who won. It was that dude who was supposed to meet us at the Grand Canyon right? And he beat that hippy granola dude from Nebraska.

It's not on i-tunes or I would have impulse bought it after reading your post.

Yes, Rob, the guy from the Grand Canyon won.

i wonder how many people are actually "from" the grand canyon? and if they are part of the tarahumara?

From marci on Wed, Dec 28, 2011 at 22:44:49 from 98.71.175.203

I admit, it was good. I am still in shock at the ending. :) HOWEVER- You did talk about this "secret" movie that was coming in the mail. I was in suspense for 4 days waiting for the mailman.

It was pretty hilarious how we had our blankets wrapped around us and some popcorn ready to eat and then you pushed Play on the Bluray and WHAT MOVIE WAS IT?? a movie about running!! of course, should have known.

From Jon on Wed, Dec 28, 2011 at 22:49:30 from 98.71.175.203

Yup, after 8 years of marriage, you should have known I wouldn't be that excited for a movie if it wasn't about running.
