I finally put my real goals for 2008.  I'm treating the winter series as training only (i.e. no speedwork to try and PR at 5k), with an emphasis on Ogden marathon, St. George marathon, and especially my 3 trail races.  Should be a great year.

6 miles around Providence, Millville, Logan at 7:15 avg pace.  Actually about 6.25 miles, I think, but I'll round down this time.

No Freedom run 15K? Whimp! Good luck at the Striders 5K. It is tough to pr there..

From Jon on Wed, Feb 06, 2008 at 13:56:23

No, I'll save my money rather than limp down the road after the Logan Peak race. Plus, I specifically noted that I'm not trying to PR at Striders.

From Cody on Wed, Feb 06, 2008 at 13:59:23

I misunderstood then. I thought you meant you WERE trying to PR.

I limped just fine after Logan Peak last year...whimp!

From James on Wed, Feb 06, 2008 at 15:30:38

Yeah whimp!

From James on Wed, Feb 06, 2008 at 15:31:09

Did you ever get those pants?

From Jon on Wed, Feb 06, 2008 at 16:03:18

Ok, you come do both races!

Yeah, but didn't try them on yet. Just wondering, what are they for (i.e. very cold weather, etc)?

From Paul Petersen on Wed, Feb 06, 2008 at 23:43:58

The Striders 5K is PR-impossible anyway. The only race really worth going after a PR is the Half. The others are just there to make you tough.

That's what Cody said- very hilly runs.
