I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

AM- BW, 4 mile warmup, then treadmill temp (13 deg and icy out don't make for good running). I wanted to start at 6:30 pace and increase each mile, but wasn't feeling great so had to back it down from 6:10 to 6:15 for a while before finally kicking it up the last few miles, finishing sub-6. 10 mile tempo in 63:45, then 2 cooldown. 16 total.

Treadmill miles aren't so bad when watching Seinfeld on Mike & Mike while getting ready for the Broncos in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Feeling a little under the weather- just stuffy and sniffles. The storm on Tuesday dumped 1 inch of snow in Greenville. They cancelled school Tuesday at noon, sending the kids home early. Then cancelled Wed. And then, despite dry roads, cancelled school on Thursday, as well. If they had this mentality in Canada, the school year would be 2 weeks long.

3 days off for 1 inch! So awesome.

Just found out they're doing a late start tomorrow, too. Ridiculous.

There is no more hard core state for NOT canceling school than Utah. I've had one 2 hour delay in my 12 years here. The buses roll up to my kids school with chains on all the tires.

Greenville is another matter entirely.

Did you see this article on how much snow it takes to cancel school? Our plows can do the job. From K-12 I recall school being cancelled twice.

Fritz, love that. Hadn't seen it.

Back at the beginning of the month we (NH) got a dusting and they closed the university. That night we got 3 inches and had a 4 hour delay. The next day it rained and turned it all to scary ice, had to be here at 8am. At least Greenville has some sort of plan for what to do, even if its overkill.
