AM- 5.

Some idiot took the photos of our home listing on MLS, and made a fake Craigslist add saying our house is for rent, very cheap, fully furnished.  They even made a fake email address Jonathan21A@yahoo.com, or something like that, and asked renters to wire him some money to reserve it.  The listing included our real home address- so people are showing up at our house wanting to rent it.  It's got me pretty agravated.

PM- Sometimes it only takes one mile to realize that you've been pushing yourself real hard, you've got a few niggles bordering on getting worse, and you haven't been getting near enough sleep to recover.  The smart thing to do is bag the run and get some extra rest.  Today was one of those days for me.  1 mile.

That sucks. Is there any way to wire him a small amount and figure out who he is?

It was me. Gotcha!!

No, just kidding. That sucks, kind of creepy too. I would feel a little violated.

I smell a sting operation. When you find out who it is, let me know. "I know a guy". Ha.

Seriously though, I do.

Gotta love internet ethics! This is what is really frustrating to homeowners and realtors trying to help the folks in the market. Sorry about the issues with the home.

Lowlife's! Good luck clearing that up.

Just ask everyone who shows up for a cash deposit, or at least a fee to look around. They'll be sorry they trusted Craigslist!

Hey, I talked to Paul the other night. My new plan is to come down and run TOU, then stay a week and be there for the Bear. You need a pacer?

From Jon on Tue, Jul 13, 2010 at 13:24:59 from 192.107.247.6

Dave- that would be most welcome. Cody wants to pace some, but he hasn't decided how much. I can have a pacer for 63 miles, so will need at least 2 or 3. Plus a crew. I would love to have you run some of it with me.

That's crazy about the house scam. Last year we found a house on craigslist that was for rent that ended up being a scam. I didn't send them any money so we didn't lose anything but those scammers are pretty smart. They look on the public land records or MLS to get the owners real name and then use that. What is in South Carolina?

We're moving to Greenville to work at GE.

From Aaron Kennard on Tue, Jul 13, 2010 at 23:55:41 from 174.51.250.151

I have had that happen to me on craigslist at least 15 times, but I don't live in the houses so its not as big of a deal...still annoying kind of.

I hear you on the 1 mile. I had 2 on monday, and I was done. Its funny how you can run 20 miles some days and not want to ever stop going...and others run 1 mile and wonder how you can mentally bear another step.
