Running Accomplishments:

I've been running since junior high. Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work out 30 minutes a day, six days a week

 

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and consistent.

Greenbelt - NT

Memorial run for Jeremy. We had the whole crew: Mat, Spencer, Horse, Dan, Brad, Matt Steuart, Rebecca, Travis, Rocco and Chanda.

Pouring rain and chilly. Lots of stops to talk and tell stories. It was a special run and I'm glad we were able to put it together.

From Mat's house with his running group. Ran with Spencer and Rebecca the whole way. Averaged in the 8:30's. Nice to spend time with both of them.

Cold and windy. Slow first half mile, then sub 7:00/mile pace for most of the rest of it.

Treadmill - 23:45

Easy jog on the treadmill at home.

Weight: 181 lbs. I weighed 171 less than 3 months ago before the marathon. I really can pack on the weight with bad eating habits and lack of running.

Weekly plan for the next 2 months: 1- longer run (60 minutes, then add 5 minutes per week); 1- easy run with 8 x 100m strides at the end; 1- 7 mile progression run; 1 - fartlek workout; 3 easy to moderate runs.

Following this should hopefully get me back in shape and it's not overly ambitious so I could realistically do it.
