PM1: Tuesday Track workout: 70 degress and drizzling this evening. WU 0.75 mi. jog, 3x(600/400/600) @ 5k goal pace w/ 40 sec. standing and 4 minutes in between sets, CD - 0.75 mi. easy
We hit our paces and under for these - right around 2:00 for 600 and 80 for 400. I actually forgot my watch today, but one of the guys will send the splits later. Pretty curious as to how the 5:20/mi. 5k workouts amd higher mileage turn in to 18:00 5ks still... A fellow quaffer sent me the splits:
2:02, 1:22, 2:01, rec., 2:01, 1:20, 2:02, rec., 2:00, 1:18, 2:05
4mi. total - about 30 minutes
PM2: Track workout 2 - 4x800 @ 5k goal pace - didn't feel too good about fading (Had to use the bathroom very suddenly) on the last rep of the first workout, and the legs are feeling good and loose. Cut these down - 3:00, 2:53, 2:53, 2:48
6mi. total - 44:30
