1 mi. warmup - it was a little chilly before the race/warmup. Perfect conditions for a good run once it did start - Very flat 2 lap course around Presque Isle on the shore of Lake Erie, 50 degrees throughout, and well shaded even when the sun did come out. Goal before the race was to run 7:10s for 20 mi. and then 7:40s for last 10k. I'm glad I didn't stick to the plan from the beginning. Went out at 6:50 for first mile and felt like I was holding back. Up through mile 20, I hovered somewhere between 6:50 and 7:05, with random three miles between 7:10 and 7:15. Passed through the half (lap 1) at 1:31:30, 16 mi. in 1:52:00, 20 mi. in 2:20:20, It got ugly after that - 7:24, 7:44, 7:50, 7:55, 8:05, 8:05, last 0.2 in 2:05 26.2 mi. - 3:09:30 - Boston Qualifier!!
