Dances With Dirt Relay in Brown County State Park.  I have 3 of the shortest relay legs: My first leg is a loop around Ogle Lake - I am paired with running against another of the slower runners from the other team.  Our team is 4 minutes behind the other Quaff team at the start of my leg.   I am more than satisfied to cut about a minute off the lead.  5k effort and beyond on one long climb - 2.6 miles on trails and stairs - 20:38

Second leg is an out and back from the North Gate of the park.   Second leg for me is about leg number 9 overall, and we have taken the lead and pulled away to about a 4 minute gap.  Fortunately, I am paired with the same slower runner from the other team and again increase our lead by about a minute.  Big effort again with a long steep climb on trails and some stairs.  2.6 miles - 19:18.

Third Leg is the anchor leg - everybody else is already drinking beers.  We have about 5 minutes on the other team, but they have a much faster runner than me running the anchor leg.  I run scared the whole way and put in a huge effort.  I red line most of the way.  This leg starts close to the finish line.  Toughest leg of the day by far - up old ski slopes and 2 huge very steep climbs with some bush whacking.  2.86 miles - 27:19

Team Busted Knuckle wins again! :)

Quaff had a bunch of people running individual races today as well.  Congrats to Ron on winning the 50M unofficially.  He went off course and was DQed at some point.  Another Quaff girl was second and came in about an hour and half later.  50k winner strangely had the same story - Jeff Yoder won, but went off course and was DQed.
