Yesterday morning we had 20+mph winds and decided to delay our run until the evening. The evening brought more wind, rain and not getting home from work until 7:30. I tried really hard to motivate myself to get on the treadmill and it didn't happen. Windy again this morning, so I headed to the Y to run on their treadmills (trying to let everyone at my house sleep a little longer). A 2 mile warm up and then tried to re-introduce my body to speed work. The foot turn over isn't there yet, so I took a different approach and while the on's were not as fast, the recovery was much faster than normal. 16x1min on/off On's at 7:30 pace/Off's at 8:30 pace Next week I will work on the On's faster with a slower recovery. Avg Pace 8:28 ....still coughing more than anyone should....ever.
